Diana Aten Is Proudly Offering In-Person and Online Therapy. Serving in Meridian, Boise and Eagle in Idaho
Hello!
It is so important that you find the right personality fit and skill-level when looking for a therapist or coach. So here is a little information about me, Diana Aten.
I have been a Therapist and Coach for over 19 years. I love my work! The best part of my job comes from seeing clients find their way through challenges and difficult emotions whether in their marriage or relationship, their family, career, or life, or when trying to recover from disappointments or loss. When I see hope in their eyes rather than despair...when there is space created to share tender emotions and they can safely" get to the other side"...when I see clients begin to take charge and heal with new insights and information...when I see clients discover the power of a more full and abundant life through our work together...well, that's what it's all about.
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), I specialize in therapy for adult individuals and couples. I am additionally trained and experienced as a Career Counselor and as a Personal Life Coach. My private practice is located in Meridian, Idaho where I work with a broad spectrum of clients.
Clients have described me as having a compassionate, non-threatening, no-nonsense style that is "real" and appeals to men and women. I specialize in offering hope and real life strategies that help enrich and repair marriage/couple relationships. I provide service to a wide variety of clients and have a particular heart for working with individuals who are in some form of life transition such as pre/post divorce, relationship recovery, family/parenting, career issues, stress, grief & loss, anxiety, or health crisis.
As a Career Counselor and Coach, I provide guidance and action-oriented plans for all levels of career development or job search. For many clients, I find that Life Coaching "is in there somewhere" for those who appreciate the practical application it can provide in helping them to identify and achieve their goals from a "non-therapy" perspective.
In addition to my 18 years as a Therapist and Coach, I draw on my previous career experience in healthcare and business to assist clients with their therapy or coaching needs.
Please see my "Career Coaching and Counseling" page for additional information regarding my experience in this area. In my personal life, I'm an outdoor girl all the way! I appreciate nature through activities such as kayaking, hiking and snowshoeing. I love cooking, yoga, travel and discovering new adventures. In my personal life, I was widowed following 27 years of marriage. I am a mother and an enthusiastic grandmother of 4!
